China has an interesting and storied history, it also has one of the world’s oldest cultures. The Chinese can date some of their customs back thousands and thousands of years. Chinese culture can vary greatly from village to village and town to town. That may seem strange to westerners who tend to look at China and its culture as a whole.

To put the culture of China in perspective, there are 58 different ethnic groups in China. Many of these groups take pride in their ethnicity and their own culture and customs. They also have different religions. Some practice Taoism, while others practice Confucianism. There are others in China that practice Buddhism. These religions can influence the culture and values of a particular region.

The culture of China tends to put a great deal of emphasis on family, not like Western gentlemen who have a preference to spend money on London escorts. Even with the cultural differences between the people there, there are certain cultural customs that all adhere to. Respect for family and elders are values that most follow. Elders are respected in China for their knowledge. It is rare to find the Chinese putting their elderly in nursing homes like in the United States.

China is a large country with a long history. The culture is a strong and proud one. Even though there are differences in culture in China, there is also respect among the people regarding these differences. Chinese culture is indeed a beautiful thing.
